GROUND CORIANDER

Coriander comes from the seeds of a plant native to southern Europe and the Middle East.
Known for millennia in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, it is widely used from Greece to India and the Caribbean.
Coriander has an intense and sweet flavor, similar to that of orange, making it one of the most versatile spices.

 

How is ground coriander used?

Coriander is used to flavor dishes based on meat, fish, sausages and vegetables. In Arabic cuisine, coriander is a key spice, while in India it is a key ingredient in curry and garam masala.
In Greece and Cyprus it is widely used to season olives, sausages and angello and is one of the main ingredients of aphelia (pork stew in red wine).
