JUMBO GREEN CARDAMOM

Cardamom is a very ancient exotic spice, native to the tropical forests of the East.

The cardamom plant belongs to the zingiberaceae family, and grows particularly well in eastern territories, such as Sri Lanka and India.
It is said that cardamom plants grew in the hanging gardens of Babylon and that the latter was exported from the East to the West by Romans and Greeks, who used it for the preparation of perfumes and for cooking.
This cannot surprise us because cardamom has a surprising and intoxicating flavor.
Its outer pod is in fact extremely fragrant and aromatic and the cardamom seeds contained inside are spicy and sour.
Cardamom is also one of the most expensive spices that exist and the most valuable variety is the green one (there is also black, brown and white).
The Cardamom Jumbo Green variety has particularly Big, selected, aromatic and green pods and is therefore considered to be of superior quality.
