CRUSHED CAYENNA CHILI PEPPER

The chili is the fruit of a plant native to South America of the pepper family, the Capsicum Frutescens, which is grown with excellent results in the warm regions of the globe.
There are many varieties of chili peppers different in color, flavor, appearance.
The small peppers (also called "diavolini" or Cajenna) are exceptionally spicy, while the longer ones are used to obtain chilli in pieces or powder.

 

The ROMA chilli crushed into pieces is obtained from the cayenne pepper and is therefore very spicy.

The spiciness of chillies is given by the seeds, which contain capsaicin, and not by the red peel of the pepper.
The greater the content in seeds, the greater will be the spiciness of the same.
Widely used in the cuisine of all countries, chilli is a spice of extremely varied quality.
Among the small and hot peppers, the type of Cajenna is particularly valuable.
