Returns and Refunds

Internet sales of products are regulated by Articles 50 to 68 ("distance contracts") of Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code).

This legislation provides consumers (therefore excluding non-consumer customers and/or those who request an invoice) with the right to withdraw from contracts or contractual proposals, guaranteeing them the right to return the purchased product and obtain a refund of the expense incurred.

The right of withdrawal is excluded in the following cases, pursuant to the law, and cannot be exercised if the product:

• is missing its original packaging;
• is opened;
• is at risk of deteriorating or expiring rapidly;
• is damaged;
• for food products that are not suitable for return for reasons of hygiene or related to health protection or that have been opened after delivery, or for which it is not possible to verify correct storage by the customer, and which therefore they cannot be put back on sale.

With reference to the cases of exclusion of withdrawal listed above, the Customer, in particular, is informed and accepts that all food products are included among the Products that "risk deteriorating or expiring rapidly", as the characteristics and qualities of these types of products are subject to alteration also as a result of inappropriate storage. Therefore, for reasons of hygiene and customer protection, the right of withdrawal applies only to products purchased on the site that can be returned and put back on the market without endangering consumer health.

Shipping costs for returning the product are always borne by the customer.

Methods and times for exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal, it is necessary to notify Roma Fine Foods, within 14 working days of receiving the goods, of the intention to withdraw from the contract, in writing via certified email and/or email (romafinefoods@pec.it).

Within 3 working days of receiving the notice of withdrawal, Roma Fine Foods will send the customer the Return Authorization Number (RMA) which will identify the procedure.

Within 14 working days of receiving the Return Authorization Number (RMA), the Customer will ship (at his own expense) the goods to be returned to: Roma Fine Foods, Viale degli Artigiani 2, 00045 Genzano di Roma, RM.

The product must be carefully packaged in its original packaging and complete with all its original contents, indicating the Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA) assigned by Roma Fine Foods on the packaging.

Refund methods and times

In the event that the product has not already been delivered to the Customer, Roma Fine Foods will refund the purchase price within 30 days from the date on which it became aware of the exercise of the right of withdrawal by the Customer.

In the event that the product has already been delivered to the Customer, Roma Fine Foods will refund the purchase price within 14 days from the date of return of the product and verification of its integrity.

For purchases made by bank transfer, Roma Fine Foods will refund the purchase price via bank transfer. Bank transfer; for purchases made via PayPal, the refund will be made by crediting the customer's account.
