FENUGREEK SEEDS (METHI)

Fenugreek is a seed of a plant native to western Asia and cultivated today in the Mediterranean regions.
The flowers are triangular in shape (trigonos in Greek, hence the botanical name), while the prismatic or rhomboid seeds of fenugreek are harvested when fully ripe.
Called "Methi" in Ayurvedic medicine, fenugreek has multiple beneficial properties on the body.

As a spice, fenugreek seeds, with a fairly neutral flavor, slightly bitter and spicy.
Ground seeds are also one of the ingredients in curry.
